A Whole New Guild (Re-Done)
I had this idea about how to make Guild Wars a better play environment for the players and I have named it "Ayashi Services" after the last name on my first character Anyala Ayashi (It's a free service). I have been playing Guild Wars for about 6 months now and something that the game lacks in the beginning stages are helpful people. If you ask a question when you are just starting out you're likely to be called a noob and told to go away. Asking a lot of questions can annoy someone, I understand. However, there have been times where someone in my party was treated very rude just for not knowing something about the game that someone else did, I of course helped the new comer but I couldn't do anything about the other players rudeness
So! here's my idea. I want to start out small and create a guild that helps players who are new the game at the places where they will be starting out, Pre, Ascalon, Kamadan and Shing Jea. For now I just want to leave it to those small areas until our reputation increases and the members and officers of this guild will help people that are new to the Guild Wars game get the hang of things. They will help out the new players with the simple little starter quests and teach them about their class and what would be the way to go with their class, all this while upholding ArenaNet's guidelines and rules for it's players.
I got this idea when I was bored one day and I helped someone in Ascalon do a simple quest. For me being Lv. 20 it was a piece of cake but for them defeating the boss was difficult. After I helped them I felt really good about doing it and I started doing it all the time in the evenings. I really want to put effort into this Guild and create a large Alliance of players that have the same passion as I do for the game and want to make GW a more enjoyable place for people. Hopefully when I get more experienced people to join then we can start branching out and helping players with quests and missions in all 4 games not just the starter areas. I wanted to know what Anet thought about that idea or if it was something they would advise doing, or if the Community Relations Manager has thoughts on my idea. My main goal is to help players and depict GW in a positive light, the way it's creators intended it to be depicted. I love Guild Wars and I want ti support then and help out.
I also plan to make a forum, which I have done for many other sites, should it get off the ground
So do you guys think that would work.

It's a good idea but i can think of a few problems ill just name one
Your going to get 2 kinds of people, noob's, and the newbs
The newbs are the nice kind theyll be willing to learn but will also want to do things for themselves.
The the noobs, they'll be the ones spamming guild chat asking for help with something over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over wont stfu when theyre asked to and will end up rage quitting your guild becauase you didnt run them to droks from ascalon etc
I wish you the best of luck if you do it though

I've already done this, and been growing a guild slowly by helping and adding new players though help.
I don't think this is in the right forum though.

Good idea (one I wouldn't be involved in).
Recommend moving to another forum, possibly PvE Guild Recruitment.

Wrong forum, should better be in guild discussion forum, but...

Yes, this would work.
However, I think there are other players who have about the same thoughts as you who already formed a guild.
As guild leader I can tell you building and maintaining a guild requires a lot of effort and you must be willing to put this effort into the guild and the members.
My surgestion is that you look for other players/guilds with the same way of thinking as you do and join them.
Work your way up to officer and experience if you are the right person for a leading role in a guild.
I had several members in the past who refused a promotion offer because they did not feel up to the task while I know they were (and are).
I think this is the best way to be productive and helpfull.

Personally, I think you will get really frustrated and won't be happy doing it. I think guilds are typically better when everyone in the guild is around a similar skillset (for example, my friends and I are about on par in terms of knowledge of Guildwars and our guild consists mostly of rather experienced storyline players with basic interaction into elite areas and PVP. We all enjoy when we do these areas but mostly focus on creating characters and progressing through the story).
And also, what happens once these players become experienced? A lot of people don't enjoy replaying and helping new players and will find your guild is unsuited for them in the long run and will leave.

I had the same idea a while back but never did anything with it. My thoughts were similar. When I started playing I was afraid to join a guild. I figured that once I joined it would be permanent (or at least a long term commitment. I hate guild hopping) and I didn't want to join the wrong guild, so I took quite a while before I picked one. I thought wouldn't it be nice to have a "starter guild" that you could join to pick up the basics of guild life.
Create a guild called "Guild University". The officers would be experienced players and would act like teachers at a University. The guild would recruit in the starter areas and would specifically recruit new players. The officers would hold classes periodically on different aspects of the game and any guildies that wanted to attend the classes could.
The guild wouldn't be meant to be a permanent guild and once the newbies "graduated" and felt confident in their playing abilities they would leave the guild and choose another one more to their taste. Some would of course remain with the guild and perhaps become teachers themselves.
The guild could also be part of a bigger alliance that included an advanced PvP guild, a farming guild, a PvE Elite Missions guild, etc (Graduate level studies for those that are past the newbie level but would like to remain in the alliance)
EDIT: Actually a guild like this might be perfect for a 2nd account. The "teachers" join this guild on their 2nd account and are only online when they are scheduled to teach classes or when they feel like helping out newbies. They can play on their main accounts at other times without worrying about always being pestered. It would work if the guild had enough officers that 2-3 of them were always online.
